Zhenyu Ye’s work highlighted by US Department of Energy
Professor Zhenyu Ye led work at UIC that was recently highlighted by the division of Nuclear Physics at the Department of Energy's Office of Science. Professor Ye and his team was one of the major institutions, together with MIT and Indiana University, who designed and built the STAR detector's Inner Silicon Tracker (IST). Professor Ye's group is currently solely responsible for this detector's operation and are using its data for their research.
