UIC physicists highlighted for their work on the measurement of the top quark pair production rate
UIC physicists working on the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider appear in Fermi Today (2/3/12) because of their work on the measurement of the top quark pair production rate using b-jet identification. UIC graduate students Ioana Anghel and Samvel Khalatian are featured, for their work on the muon+jets channel and b-jet identification, respectively. Other UIC members that contributed to the publication were Dr. Victor Bazterra, Dr. Derek Strom, Professor Mark Adams and Professor Cecilia Gerber.
