The Department welcomes new faculty member Fatemeh Khalili-Araghi
The department of physics welcomes new faculty member Assistant Professor Fatemeh Khalili-Araghi to the Department and to UIC. Professor Khalili-Araghi earned her PhD in computational biological physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and did her postdoctoral work at the University of Chicago. Professor Khalili-Araghi works on a wide range of topics including computational modeling of Na+K+ ATPase structural dynamics, molecular dynamics simulations, free energy calculations, replica-exchange, metal-binding site identification, voltage-gating mechanisms in ion channels, and ion conduction and selectivity in membrane channels.
