Cecilia Gerber announces discovery on “Observation of Single Top at DZero”
The Fermilab DZero single top quark group co-led by Professor Cecilia Gerber has firmly established the single top production by passing strict statistical tests. The discovery was announced by Cecilia in a special Fermilab seminar entitled "Observation of Single Top at DZero" on Mar. 10. The background data analysis used by Cecilia's group is of importantance for the search for the Higgs boson.
