Siva Sivananthan and Cecilia Gerber elected as APS Fellows
Congratulations to Professor Sivalingam Sivananthan and Professor Cecilia Gerber, who have each been elected an APS Fellow. Professor Gerber's citation is "For her numerous contributions to the DO experiment, especially the implementation of the DO muon and silicon trackers and the elucidation of the characteristics of top quarks in the strong production of top-antitop pairs and the electroweak production of single top quark." Professor Sivananthan's citation is, "For seminal contributions to the growth technology of II-VI photovoltaic materials." APS Fellowship is limited to no more than one half of one percent of the membership and is recognition of outstanding contributions to physics.
