Professor Robert Klie receives the 2009 NSF Faculty Early Career Development Award

The Physics Department extends congratulations to Professor Robert Klie for his receipt of the 2009 National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career (CAREER) Development Award, one of the most competitive awards to honor young faculty members in the early stages of their research and education careers. The prestigious award, along with a $400,000 grant, was in recognition of Robert's research in the area of Nanoscale Materials Physics, and more specifically, "Atomic-resolution study of electron-spin interaction in strongly-correlated mixed-valence cobalt oxide nano-structures".
