High Energy Nuclear Physics group recognized by invitations at the Quark Matter meeting

The High Energy Nuclear Physics group was recognized by invitations for three plenary talks at the Quark Matter 2006 meeting in Shanghai in November.

The Quark Matter conference series deals with the search for and study of a new state of matter consisting of a deconfined state of quarks and gluons - the fundamental building blocks of matter. The three invitees are: Professor Olga Barannikova who will give an overview of recent results from RHIC, Professor David Hofman who will review results from the PHOBOS experiment at RHIC and Professor Russell Betts who will present plans for new physics with the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the LHC.
