Doug Berry, Daniel Sandoval, and Paul Turner featured in a frontier science result

Graduate student Daniel Sandoval and postdoctoral researchers Dr. Doug Berry and Dr. Paul Turner were highlighted for their contributions to a Frontier Science Result in a search for unexpected yields of top quark-antiquark pairs that could signal new physics. As can be seen in the figure on the right, their analysis of data from the CMS detector at CERN's Large Hadron Collider ruled out some proposed theories of new physics.
