Title: Properties of photons and mesons in strong magnetic fields
Abstract: I discuss effects of strong magnetic fields on photon propagations and meson mass spectra. Based on a resummation technique by a proper-time method in strong external fields, I show a refractive index and decay rate of a real photon obtained from a polarization diagram, and our recent progress in calculation of a triangle diagram for a real photon splitting into two real photons. As for the meson mass spectra, I show how the QCD sum rule works for charmonium spectroscopy in strong magnetic fields.
